Our services

image181

At Promises4Keeps, we believe the marriage is ordained by God and intended for life. We strive to offer quality services and programs to individuals, couples, families, organizations, and faith communities to build strong marriages founded on Biblical principles and research-based strategies. We hope to equip couples and other service providers to achieve this mission through consultation, classes, assessments, retreats, speaking engagements, counseling, clinical supervision, and training.

We are available upon request and are willing to travel.

Seven Principles for Making Marriage Work

image182

The Seven Principles Workshop for Couples is based on the acclaimed research of Dr. John Gottman as presented in his New York Times bestselling book, The Seven Principles for Making Marriage Work. This educational workshop is designed to help couples at any stage in their relationship improve their friendship, intimacy, and conflict management skills.

This program is offered by request for weekend conferences, retreats or on two consecutive Saturdays. The full program is 12 hours but can be adapted to meet your needs.

Professional training eventS

image183

Prepare/Enrich facilitator training for clergy, mentors, coaches, and counselors. This training prepares facilitators to use this program with dating, engaged, cohabiting, and even married couples. It is a fully customized relationship assessment and feedback program. There is evidence that couples who complete this program decrease their chance of divorce by developing healthy relationship skills and an understanding of their partner.

This program offers 7 Continuing Education Units for $25.

Bringing Baby Home

image184

The research-based Bringing Baby Home workshops prepare couples for life with baby and helps them be the best parenting team possible. In a relaxed and supportive educational environment, parents learn to strengthen their relationship and foster baby’s development during this challenging time. They build on what Dr. Gottman and colleagues found is the best predictor of marital adjustment after baby arrives: the quality of friendship in the marriage.

This two-day workshop combines scientific research and public education to improve the quality of life for babies and children by strengthening their families. It teaches new parents how to gain relationship satisfaction and create healthy social, emotional, and intellectual development for their children.

Professional counselor supervision

image185

Tracey is an approved clinical supervisor for license eligible residents for both Licensed Professional Counselor and Marriage and Family Therapist in Virginia.  Supervisees are required to have their own residency site and carry malpractice insurance. These services are provided at an hourly rate.

Supervision is also offered for licensed mental health providers who desire access to case consultation and professional development, especially in couple therapy. This is ideal for independent providers who desire case consultations, peer review and professional development.

Premarital counseling

image186

This valuable program is suitable for dating, engaged, cohabiting, married, step and remarried couples, military, and transitional couples (over 50); as well as those seeking foster care or adoption preparation or when the primary focus is on parenting. There is also a group format and mentoring program available.

Many churches use mentor couples to work with premarital or married couples using the PREPARE/ENRICH program to save the pastoral staff time. Premarital counseling is often required by churches and qualifies the couple for a discount on their marriage license in some states.

Visit  www.PREPARE-ENRICH.com for more information. I would be happy to discuss how you can use this program in your church.
